About us
MyWaggyTails started with one dog, one spare room and a lot of love. A decade on, we're still family-run, still doing home care, just in two places now: Chinnor, Oxfordshire and South Wales.
Our story
We started MyWaggyTails because we saw too many dogs dreading the kennel. Our answer was simple: treat every dog like one of ours. That's still the rule.
Over the years we've built a team we trust completely, covered more villages than we planned to, and been lucky enough to look after dogs from puppies to retirees (and quite a few in between).
Opening up in South Wales meant a second home from scratch, same standards, same insurance, same kind of people. Whichever branch looks after your dog, you're getting the same MyWaggyTails.
What we stand for
We limit how many dogs we take at once, full stop. Every dog gets real time, not a share of a pack.
We're a family who love dogs, and that's what you get. A sofa, a garden, a routine, a cuddle on demand.
Fully insured, DBS-checked, emergency vet cover as standard. You can ask to see everything.
Prices are published, cancellations are fair, and the contract is plain English.
Joining the family
Before your dog joins us, we go through three simple steps. It isn't a hoop to jump through, it's how we make sure your dog is genuinely happy and safe with us, and that they fit with any other dogs already in our care.
You tell us about your dog, including medical and behavioural details, so we know exactly who we're looking after.
We meet you and your dog in person, so everyone's comfortable and we can answer your questions.
Where relevant, we introduce your dog to any others in our care and do a trial run, to make sure everyone gets along.
Occasionally, we'll be honest and say we're not the right fit, usually when the mix of dogs already in our care wouldn't be fair on your dog or theirs. It doesn't happen often, but we'd always rather tell you straight than put any animal in a situation that isn't right for them. Your dog's happiness and safety come first, every time.

Our whole team is made up of experienced, genuine animal lovers with one shared aim: excellent care for every client, two-legged and four-legged alike. We're here seven days a week.
You get the personal attention of a small local team with the reliability and standards of a proper professional service.
Our cover includes care and custody of animals, public liability, non-negligent cover, third party liability, property damage, employer's liability and key cover.
We have vet nurses, dog trainers and dog behaviourists on call, so if you need a hand with training or behaviour, we can help.
The vehicles we use for home visits are unmarked, so it's never obvious you're away. We keep your information confidential and never store address details alongside door keys.
Some walkers take out big groups of dogs at once. We don't. Your dog gets a fun, properly supervised walk, in line with best-practice guidance from the RSPCA, the Dogs Trust and the Pet Industry Federation.
Our home boarding and day care homes are inspected every year and licensed by the local authority, so you know we meet strict standards for health, safety and welfare.
We have 24-hour access to emergency vet care. We'll always take your pet to your own vet where we can, with a nearby emergency service as backup.
Every member of the team completes pet first aid training, so we can act quickly and calmly if your dog cuts a paw or has a mishap.
We build in extra time beyond the walk itself for fresh water, towel-downs and a bit of fuss. Want more cuddle time? Just book a little longer.
