MyWaggyTails Ltd is the data controller for the personal information you give us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are.

What we collect

  • Account details: name, address, email, phone, emergency contact.
  • Dog records: breed, age, health, vaccinations, behaviour notes.
  • Booking records: dates, services, consents, payment history.
  • Uploaded documents: vaccination records, insurance documents, photos.
  • Technical data: IP address and browser information for security.

Why we collect it

  • To provide the care you've booked (legitimate interest / contract).
  • To meet legal obligations around licensing and animal welfare.
  • To keep you informed about your booking (email and SMS).
  • To improve our service (aggregated, anonymous usage data only).

Who sees your data

Only the MyWaggyTails team members looking after your dog, plus, where relevant, a vet. We do not sell your data. We use a small number of suppliers to run the service (hosting, email delivery, document storage) under strict data-processing agreements.

How long we keep it

Account and dog records: while your account is active, then 7 years for accounting purposes. Booking consents (including the 21-day infectious disease declaration): 7 years. Uploaded documents can be deleted by you at any time from your account.

Your rights

  • Access: ask for a copy of your personal data.
  • Correction: fix anything inaccurate.
  • Deletion: close your account and have your data deleted (subject to legal retention).
  • Objection: opt out of marketing at any time.
  • Complaint: you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (session, region preference). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
