What we do

Dog home boarding in a real home, not a kennel

Holiday stays in a real family home. Never kennels.

When you're away, your dog stays in one of our carers' homes as a guest of the family, not in a kennel block. No concrete runs, no rows of cages, no industrial routine. Just a comfortable home, a familiar sofa, and someone who treats your dog like their own from arrival to collection.

Whether it's a single sleepover, a weekend, or two weeks while you're abroad, your dog keeps the rhythm they're used to: proper walks, company through the day, and a warm bed at night. It's the closest thing to home when home isn't an option.

The difference a home makes

A boarding kennel houses your dog. A home keeps your dog. That's the whole idea.

Dogs in our care aren't left alone in a pen between feeds. They're part of the household: on walks, underfoot in the kitchen, curled up in the evening. For an anxious dog, an older dog, or one that has never been in kennels, that familiarity is the difference between a stressful stay and a happy one. And because our carers board only a small number of dogs at a time, your dog gets real attention, not a slot in a rota.

How it works

Simple from start to finish.

Meet and greet

Before anything is booked, you and your dog meet the carer and see the home. It's a chance for your dog to get comfortable and for you to ask anything. No obligation.

Booking

Once you're happy, we agree dates, share your dog's routine, food, medication and vet details, and confirm the stay.

The stay

Your dog settles into the household and keeps their normal rhythm: walks, meals and rest as close to home as possible. You get updates throughout.

Collection

You collect a happy, well-exercised dog, along with anything you sent with them.

What to bring

To help your dog settle, we suggest bringing:

  • Their usual food for the length of the stay, to avoid an upset stomach
  • Their bed or a familiar blanket
  • A favourite toy or two
  • Any medication, with clear instructions
  • Their lead, harness and anything they wear on walks
  • Your vet's details and their vaccination record

Is my dog suitable?

Home boarding suits most dogs, and it's often the kindest option for those who find kennels stressful. To keep every dog in our care safe and comfortable, we ask that boarding dogs are up to date with vaccinations and generally sociable with people and, where relevant, other dogs in the home.

If you're not sure whether it's right for your dog, tell us about them and we'll be honest about whether we're a good fit.

We keep numbers deliberately low so every dog gets proper attention.
What updates will I get while I'm away?
Regular text, photo and video updates through the stay, so you can see your dog is settled and happy.
Do you collect and drop off?
Yes, pick-up and drop-off are available subject to distance and availability. Let us know where you are and we'll confirm.
Can you give medication?
Yes, our carers can administer medication with clear instructions from you. Please send enough for the full stay along with dosage details.
How is your home boarding licensed?
Every home we board in is individually licensed, inspected and rated by its local authority under the animal welfare licensing regulations. Ask us for the licence details for your area.
